I didn’t choose the title “Business Operations Executive” because it sounded impressive — I created it because there wasn’t a box big enough to fit what I do.

For 21 years in state government and 20 years running my own businesses, I’ve done far more than “admin work.” I’ve advised executives, managed offices, worked with creatives, planned events, led hiring, built systems, submitted purchase orders, dealt with vendors, and talked strategy with directors and executive directors. I’ve been trusted by people with PhDs to pick apart their ideas and make them work.
